Single Handed Arming Sword

The [Practical] Single Handed Sword - or Arming Sword - adds another weapon to the re-enactor's repertoire. This particular type of sword is basically the next evolutionary step after the Norman sword, replacing the Tea-Cosy pommel with a Wheel pommel. This kind of weapon was common on the Medieval battlefield, used by soldiers of all types including Archers all the way up into the 15th century.
This very affordable piece features authentic hilt styling, with a fully tempered un-edged and un-pointed blade, and is made to withstand rugged use while providing the level of safety required by many of today's re-enactment societies. The grip is permanently mounted and the tang is riveted for safety.

The Single Handed Practical Sword is perfect for practising/sparring with the MI.33 system - check out our range of Bucklers to accompany your new sword.
